About Amita

Tele-mental health, with real therapists.

Amita Care is a single platform for licensed therapy and psychological care in India. Vetted clinicians, secure video sessions, and the systems behind them — built so support is easy to reach when life asks for it.

What we stand for

Vision, mission, values.

Three sentences we test every product decision against — and every therapist we partner with.

Vision

A world where seeking mental health support is as ordinary, as expected, and as well-resourced as physical healthcare.

Mission

To bring tele-mental health intervention and psychotherapy together in one trusted platform — accessible to anyone, anywhere.

Values

Confidentiality. Compassion. Cultural humility. Continuous learning. Care that honours the whole person.

How we practise

Four commitments to anyone who books with us.

Compassion first

Every therapist on Amita is trained to listen without judgement and to meet you exactly where you are.

Privacy by design

Sessions are encrypted end-to-end. We share information only under the narrow conditions set by the Mental Health Act, 2017.

Evidence-led practice

Our practitioners draw on CBT, ACT, psychodynamic work, family systems and trauma-informed care — chosen for you, not for trends.

Accessible care

Sessions you can join from anywhere, in the language you think in. Care should not depend on which city you live in.

We started Amita because we kept meeting people who had carried something difficult for years, alone, simply because they did not know where to begin. Therapy is not a luxury or a last resort. It is a support that, at the right time, can change the course of a life.

What to expect

Your first 60 minutes.

If you've never done therapy before, the unknown is often the heaviest part. Here's how a first session usually goes.

  1. STEP 01

    A gentle check-in

Your therapist will ask what brings you in and listen to whatever shape that takes. Nothing on the form, nothing to perform.

  2. STEP 02

    Some shared context

They'll share how they work, what confidentiality means in practice, and the rhythm sessions tend to take.

  3. STEP 03

    A small next step

Together you name what to focus on next time. Most clients leave with a quiet sense of relief — and a plan.

Ready when you are

Book your first session.

Pick a therapist, choose a time, and join from your laptop or phone. Takes a couple of minutes.
